Kendrick Lamar Had Multiple Versions Of ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’
At the microphone of American magazine Billboard , Kendrick Lamar and Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith (the TDE boss) tell how they built the best indie label of the current US rap scene.
One of the most interesting parts of the interview is the making of the classic album Good Kid, MAAD City (released in 2012) which propelled Kendrick to the top of the rap game.
Yeah we made GKMC 3 or 4 times before the world could listen to it. New songs, all new process. I wanted to tell a story, but I had to do it perfectly. The songs can be awesome, the choruses too, but if not perfectly excecut it does not become a huge album .
