Marvel is currently expanding the characters of the MCU Universe, and these past few years they have been introducing a number of different characters. While still going off the hype of Black Panther, Marvel is getting ready to release Avengers: Infinity War, which will feature over 60 notable superheroes and villains.
Entertainment Weekly recently caught up with MCU President Kevin Feige, where he stated a sequel to Black Panther is coming. Feige notes how “one of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two.” No official information is set in stone as of now but the studio says “ideas and a pretty solid direction” for the next instalments for the members of Wakanda.
“It’s all about getting Infinity War finished and out, starting Captain Marvel, Ant-Manand the Wasp, Untitled Avengers, the next Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3,” Feige notes. “These are the ones that are keeping us busy.”
He also stated wanted to add more diverse characters . “As Panther has so loudly declared, [representation] can only help you, can only help you tell unique stories, can only help you do things in a new, and unique, and fresh, and exciting way,” Feige reveals. “If you do that, audiences will notice it, and appreciate it, and support it.”
