If McDonald’s coffee doesn’t give you as much energy as a cup of joe from Starbucks, there is actually a good reason why.
It turns out the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee varies greatly from chain to chain. The Center for Science in the Public Interest conducted a study on a bunch of coffee shops and found out which brew contained the most caffeine per ounce.
McDonald’s ranked the lowest while Starbucks had the most caffeine per cup among the chains tested. But Deathwish, the super-caffeinated coffee brand, beat out everyone. Check out the entire breakdown in the infographic above.
