The EMC Pistol Assembled With Leatherwork And Engraving

Today URWERK has unveiled the final version of its insanely intricate EMC timepiece, the EMC Pistol. An extremely limited edition of only five pieces, the Urwerk EMC Pistol is the bringing together of the industry’s top engraver, Florian Gullert, the best leather workshop, Joséphine and Sylviane, and the brand’s master designers, representing a milestone in luxury watchmaking. In addition to its awards in Geneva’s Grand Prix d’Horlogerie, the EMC Pistol is the first and only mechanical watch in which the rate can be checked electronically at any time simply by pressing a button. A Calibre UR-EMC sits inside the 43mm of titanium and steel of the case, which was masterfully engraved by freehand, packed with scrolls and letters to capture light and create zones of shade. Its strap is a rare strip of leather not commonly used from Nile crocodiles, also making for unique textures and a truly three-dimensional look. If you have a minute, click below to see more detailed shots of the watch in development as with only five available, this may be your only chance. You can also visit the Urwerk site to learn more.
