While other Caterham creations were made exclusively for enjoyment on the track, the new Caterham Seven 620S isn’t shy of the open-road. Billed as a “more road-oriented” and “sane” version of the Caterham 620R, the 620S has an aluminum body, a composite nosecone, and styling that adeptly straddles classic roadster design with modern accoutrements. As with other Caterhams, the interior is rather minimalist, featuring a Momo steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, and plenty of leather joined with racing seats – which can be heated with an optional add-on. Under the long nose, you’ll find a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine with 310HP and 161 lb-ft of torque that is controlled with a five-speed manual transmission and lightweight flywheel. All together, the 620S can hit 60mph in 3.4 seconds before topping out at 145mph. Produced as-ordered, the Caterham Seven 620S can be yours for £44,995.
