Recently, Kendrick Lamar explained that his album DAMN. was designed to be heard both ways . It seems now that he pushes the concept to the point of releasing a collectors version where the tracklist is reversed.
Although the information has not yet been confirmed by TDE, there is every reason to believe it. Indeed, users of the subreddit dedicated to Kendrick Lamar have pointed to the existence of a page dedicated to the collector version of DAMN. on the Microsoft store . In addition, a user has shared images of the front and back of the project with which we see a reversed tracklist that starts with “DUCKWORTH.” And ends with “BLOOD.” But also a new cover in black and white.
Note that the first image has 20,036 here written on it which would mean that the project would come out in a limited version, also it’s surprising we don’t see a bonus track in this reworked tracklist.
As of now no release date or legitimacy of this project as it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Kendrick Lamar or his label but based on the leaked photos and the Microsoft screenshot it seems that if this is real, it may see the light of day soon.
In the mean time, a museum created an exhibition based around Kendrick Lamar’s ‘ELEMENT’ video.
