From his lifestyle to his upcoming Astroworld album  , Travis Scott has tackled many topics with journalist Alex Gale of Billboard, also looking back on his debut and his relationship with Kanye West.

He wants Stevie Wonder on  Astroworld

“My next album is going to have Stevie,” Scott declares. “Well, I’m trying. We’re talking. ”

“Stevie will be present on my next album,” says Scott. “At least, I hope, we discuss it.” )

Astroworld  is not finished yet

“Sickamore says the album will be loosely inspired by Houston and its slow-riding, bottom-heavy sound, but he and Scott refuse to reveal anything more – to preserve the element of surprise, but also because it’s still a work in progress.”

He’ll do his own arenas tour

“After opening for Kendrick Lamar on last year tour, Scott says he’ll headline his own arena run in 2018.”

His house is full of his works of art

“A sunny room overlooking the driveway is filled with paint, brushes, easels and abstract paintings by Scott. (“I like to just wake up and go  splat “). The recording studio features another one of Scott’s sculptures – a terrifying, HR Giger-esque creature – and a collage of scenes cut out from porn magazines. On the floor of the living-room, seemingly forgotten in a half-opened box, is a platinum plate for one of his many hit singles. “I keep most of them in the garage,” Scott mumbles.

A sunny room above his garage is filled with materials and paintings by Travis Scott, who explains going to paint as soon as he wakes up. In the studio, there is a terrifying sculpture made by Scott (in the manner of HR Giger, creator of Alien ) and a collage of scenes cut from porn magazines. On the floor of his living room, a platinum certification plate seems forgotten in a box. Travis Scott says he keeps most of his certifications in his garage.

The beginnings of his career with Kanye West and Mike Dean

“While at the University of Texas, where he started sending music to rap blogs and cold-emailing people in the industry, Scott caught the attention of producer Mike Dean. Around the same time, West recruited Scott to work on his sixth album,  Yeezus . Scott says he and Kanye “just learn from each other.” Although Scott was credited on only three songs, he was considered a major inspiration for  Yeezus . ”

While at the University of Texas, where he began sending music to blogs and people in the music industry, Scott caught the attention of producer Mike Dean. At about the same time, Kanye West recruits Travis Scott to work on his album  Yeezus . Scott explains that he and Kanye “just learn from each other”. Although it is only credited on 3 tracks, its sound universe is considered one of the main inspiration of  Yeezus .
