Black Panther was a huge film so far this year, breaking numerous records and being critically acclaimed. As a superhero film, the visual effects were one of the most important features of the film. The epic set was handled by Daryl Sawchuk, Visual Effects Supervisor for Method Studios and Animation Supervisor for Black Panther, who recently shopped it up with WIRED to discuss the digital Black Panther and Killmonger scenes to putting together the final fight scene in the movie.
“These guys are superheroes,” Sawchuk said. “They’re meant to be performing actions that are bigger and broader than what we’re capable of.”
